The GOW Opioid Task Force currently has over 440 members from across the tri-county region. Members represent various sectors of the community, including public health, mental health, human services, local government, substance use disorder treatment and recovery agencies, law enforcement, EMS, faith-based groups, health systems and medical practitioners, education, businesses, concerned individuals, families, and individuals in recovery.

 

Mission Statement:

Our goal is to address the growing opioid crisis in the Genesee, Orleans, and Wyoming region.

 

Vision:

Through active collaboration and engagement across our tri-county region we envision a community free from opioid related deaths and overdoses.

 

Goals:

  • To reduce the number of overdose deaths in the GOW region
  • To decrease the number of overdoses in the GOW region

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee of the Genesee-Orleans-Wyoming Opioid Task Force is comprised of local leaders committed to ending the Opioid Crisis in the GOW region.  The purpose of the Steering Committee is to provide direction and guidance to the GOW Opioid Task Force.  All three counties in the region are represented on the Steering Committee and great effort is made to ensure cross-county collaboration, communication, and support occurs. 

 

The GOW Opioid Task Force Steering Committee meets bi-monthly.  If you would like to be added to an upcoming Steering Committee meeting agenda, we kindly ask requests be made by the first Tuesday of the month.
